Lev Natochenny ( 1950 ) was born in Moscow, Russia. He studied at the Moscow Conservatory where he studied with Lev Oborin. Subsequent studies included time with Eliso Virsaladze and Alexei Lubimov. He performed well in the 1981 Busoni competition finishing second. He would go on to record works by Brahms, Shostakovich and Schnittke.
