Eugene Istomin ( 1925 - 2003 ) was born in New York City, New York. He studied at the Curtis Institute and subsequently with renowned pianists Rudolf Serkin and Toggle the table of contents Mieczysław Horszowski. He won the Leventritt award which gave his name prominence. He was a frequent performer in the Casals festival. His discography includes works by Rachmaninov, Chopin and Brahms.
