Jan Smeterlin ( 1892 - 1967 ) was born in Bielsko, Poland. He would go onto study with renowned pianist Leopold Godowsky. He would go onto record for several labels including Philips, RCA Victor and Polydor. He is best known for his recordings of Chopin and Szymanowski.
