Edmund Battersby ( 1949 - 2016 ) was born in Detroit, Michigan. He studied at the Julliard School and eventually was a professor at Indiana University. He recorded works by Granados, Rachmaninov, Dvorak and Beethoven across the Naxos and Koch labels.
