Lilya Zilberstein ( 1965 ) was born in Moscow, Russia. She won the acclaimed Busoni concerto in 1987 which helped launch her career. She signed with DG and went on to record Liszt, Rachmaninov, Shostakovich, Debussy and Ravel among others. She also performed regularly as the Lugano festival with her friend and fellow pianist Martha Argerich.
