Monique Haas ( 1909 - 1987 ) was born in Paris, France. She studied at the Conservatoire de Paris and subsequently with renowned pianists Serkin and Casadesus. Her recordings brought her across the major labels DG and EMI. She recorded to much acclaim the works of both Ravel and Debussy.
