Harold Bauer ( 1873 - 1951 ) was born in Kingston upon Thames, England. He studied with I.J. Paderewski, and eventually was an acclaimed professor at the Manhattan School of Music. He recorded many piano rolls and integral recordings of Beethoven, Debussy and Brahms.
