Sedmara Zakarian Rutstein ( 1937 ) was born in Kazan, Russia. She studied at the Leningrad Conservatoire under Nadezhda Golubovskaya. She won one of the All-Union Competitions which gave her name prominence. She has taught at the Leningrad Conservatoire and recorded works by Russian composers Scriabin, Tishchenko and Prokofiev.
