Vladimir de Pachmann ( 1848 - 1933 ) was born in Odessa, Ukraine. He went on to study at the Vienna Conservatory with Joseph Dachs. He is best known for his recordings of Chopin which include various Etudes, Ballades, Nocturnes and Mazurkas.
