France Clidat ( 1932 - 2012 ) was born in Nantes, France. She studied at the Paris Conservatory. In 1956 she won the Franz Liszt prize at the Budapest International competition. She would forever become associated with Liszt. She would also record works by Chopin, Satie and Grieg to much acclaim.
