Bruce Hungerford ( 1922 - 1977 ) was born in Korumburra, Australia. He studied at the University of Melbourne Conservatorium and later with renowned pianists Ignaz Friedman. He recorded works by Brahms, Beethoven and Schubert before he was tragically killed in a car accident.
