Valerie Tryon ( 1934 ) was born in Portsmouth, England. Shes studied at the Royal Academy of Music. In 1956 she won the Liszt competition in Budapest which gave her name prominence. She recorded across several labels such as Saga, Lyrita and Naxos. Her recordings include composers Chopin, Liszt and Scarlatti.
