Benjamin Britten ( 1913 - 1976) was an English composer. Although he was most known for being a composer, Britten was also a pianist. The extreme pressures of being a soloist, led him to be more of an accompanist, and he did so feature with fellow friend and pianist Sviatolav Richter. Together they recorded the Mozart's K. 448 Sonata for two pianos, a handful of Schubert works and his own Piano Concerto as a conductor.
