Ania Dorfmann ( 1899 - 1984 ) was born in Odessa, Ukraine. She studied at the Conservatoire de Paris. She subsequently would become the first female soloist to work with Toscanini. She recorded works by Beethoven, Chopin and Mendelssohn.
