Alexander Tcherepnin ( 1899 - 1977 ) was a Russian composer. He studied with pupils of noted composers such Lyadov, Glazunov and Rubinstein. He was a prolific composer for the piano as he composed Toccatas, Sonatas, Preludes and six Piano concertos. He recorded some his own works which include Concertos 2 & 5.
