Boris Tishchenko ( 1939 - 2010 ) was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia. He studied at the Lenigrad Conservatory and also with Dmitri Shostakovich. He was a prolific composer for piano and his compositions include 11 piano sonatas, two suites and a piano concerto.
