Annie Fischer ( 1914 - 1995 ) was born in Budapest, Hungary. She studied at the Franz Liszt Academy with renowned pianist and composer Ernst von Dohnányi. In 1933 she would win the International Franz Liszt competition whcih gave her name prominence. Her extensive discography includes works by Schubert, Liszt, Bartok and Beethoven.
