Leif Ove Andsnes ( 1970 ) was born in Karmøy, Norway. He studied at the Bergen Music Conservatory and became known for championing the works of his fellow countrymen Edvard Grieg. He has a prolific discography for EMI in which he has recorded works by Chopin, Grieg, Liszt, Bartok and Mozart among others.
