Erwin Schulhoff ( 1894 - 1942 ) was born in Prague, Czech Republic. He studied at the Prague Conservatory and would later study with Claude Debussy and Max Reger. Although he was a prolific composer, only a few of his works are performed and only a handful of his own recordings survive.
