Jean-Bernard Pommier ( 1944 ) was born in Beziers, France. He studied at the Paris Conservatoire with Yves Nat. His performance at the 1962 Tchaikovsky competition gave his name prominence. He would go on to record works by Schumann, Mozart and Bach.
