Anne Queffélec ( 1948 ) was born in Paris, France. She studied at the Paris Conservatoire and subsequently with renowned pianists Paul Badura-Skoda and Alfred Brendel. Winning first prizes at the Munich and Leeds competitions in 1968 and 1969 respectively gave her name prominence. She went on to record works by Ravel, Schubert and Debussy.
