Sérgio Varella Cid ( 1945 ) was born in Lisbon, Portugal. He studied with Harold Craxton and even the great renowned pianist Benno Moseiwitsch. He won the 6th Cliburn competition in 1962 and would tour and record works by Chopin and Rachmaninov.
