György Sándor ( 1912 - 2005 ) was born in Budapest, Hungary. He studied at the Liszt Academy under the renowned composer Bela Bartok. He premiered Bartok's third concerto and recorded works by Liszt, Bartok, and Schumann among others. He recorded across Columbia, Vox and Sony over the course of his career.
