Irwin Gage ( 1939 - 2018 ) was born in Cleveland, Ohio. His studies brought him across Yale and the Vienna Music Academy. He is best known as a lieder accompanist and he has performed with renowned singers such as Fischer-Dieskau, Fassbaender and Schreier.
