Hüseyin Sermet ( 1955 ) was born in Istanbul, Turkey. He studied at the Ankara Conservatory and he eventually worked with Nadia Boulanger and studied composition with Olivier Messiaen. He recorded works by Schubert with renowned pianist Maria João Pires, and as a soloist recorded works by Liszt, Alkan and Beethoven.
