John Browning ( 1933 - 2003 ) was born in Denver, Colorado. He studied under the renowned teacher Rosina Lhévinne. He premiered Samuel Barber's piano concerto in 1962. He recorded for RCA and his recordings include the composers Barber, Scarlatti, Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky.
