Francesco Piemontesi ( 1983 ) was born in Locarno, Switzerland. He studied at the Hannover's Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien and subsequently with Alfred Brendel. He performed well at the 2007 Queen Elisabeth competition which gave his name prominence. He has since recorded works by Schubert, Debussy and Liszt.
