Evgeny Brakhman ( 1981 ) was born in Nizhny Novgorod, USSR. His first prize at the 1999 Dino Ciani competition gave prominence to his name and the recognition from the renowned pianist Martha Argerich. He continued to perform well in piano competitions and has recorded works for EMI and participated in the Lugano festival.
