Werner Haas ( 1931 - 1976 ) was born in Stuttgart, Germany. He studied at the Stuttgart Academy of Music and subsequently with renowned pianist Walter Gieseking. He recorded the works of Debussy, Ravel, and Schumann among others before his life was tragically cut short by a car accident.
