Rudolf Firkušný ( 1912 - 1994 ) was born in Napajedla, Czech Republic. He studied with the prominent pianists and composers which include Leos Janacek, Alfred Cortot and Artur Schnabel. He recorded across many of the major labels, Decca, Columbia and Deutsche Grammophon. He recorded works by composers which include Mozart, Beethoven and Dvorak.
