Ivan Moravec ( 1930 - 2015 ) was born in Prague, Czech Republic. He studied at the Prague Conservatory and went on to study with the renowned pianist Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli. Moravec would go on to record highly acclaimed recordings of Chopin, Debussy, Ravel and various Czech composers.
