Peter Orth ( 1954 ) was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He studied at the Julliard School of Music. In 1979 he won the Naumburg International Piano Competition which gave his name prominence. His discography includes works by Beethoven, Scriabin, Brahms and Rachmaninov.
