Anatol Ugorski ( 1942 - 2023 ) was born in Rubtsovsk, Siberia. He concertized to much acclaim throughout the 80s and was eventually signed by Deutsche Grammophon in 1991 at 49 years of age. He would go on to record Sonatas by Beethoven, Brahms, Scriabin and a integral recording of Messian's Catalogue d'oiseaux.
