Ian Hobson ( 1952 ) was born in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music and Yale. He also studied with the renowned pianist Menahem Pressler. First prize in the 1981 Leeds competition would give his name prominence. His discography include works by Mozart, Beethoven, Bach and Mendelssohn.
