Piers Lane ( 1958 ) was born in London, England. He grew up in Brisbane and studied at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. Success at the 1977 Sydney Piano competition gave his name prominence. Since then he has recorded with Hyperion label and recorded composers which include Scriabin, Bloch and Mozkowski.
