Mikhail Muntian ( 1935 ) was born in Moscow, Russia. He studied at the Gnesin Academy of Music with the renowned pianist and professor Yakov Flier. He is best known for performing with Bashmet, and he also premiered Shostakovich's Viola Sonata.
