Igor Zhukov ( 1936 - 2018 ) was born in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. He studied at the Moscow Conservatory with renowned pianist Emil Gilels and Heinrich Neuhaus. In collaboration with CBS/Melodiya he recorded the works of composers which include Tchaikovsky, Scriabin, Chopin and Bach. He was also a passionate recording engineer and conductor of the Moscow Chamber Orchestra.
