Richter only played works that he enjoyed which included obscure ones such as Janacek's Concertino and Franck's Les Djinns. As a chamber musician Richter performed works with Kagan, Rostropovich and Fischer-Dieskau. He is widely considered one of the greatest pianists of the 20th century.
