Daniel Barenboim ( 1942 ) was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Barenboim's output includes all of Beethoven and Mozart's Piano Sonatas and Piano Concertos. As a chamber musician he recorded frequently with Jacqueline du Pré and Itzhak Perlman. He also began a career as a noted conductor which included a long time post with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
