Rafał Blechacz ( 1985 ) was born in Nakło nad Notecią, Poland. He studied at the Feliks Nowowiejski Music Academy in Bydgoszcz. He won the prodigious Chopin competition in 2005 which led to an exclusive contract with Deutsche Grammophon. Under the label he recorded works by Chopin, Bach, Debussy and Szymanowski.
