Sergei Rachmaninov ( 1873 - 1943 ) was born in Staraya Russa, Russia. He studied at the Moscow Conservatory. He was a well known composer and he recorded his four concertos and the Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini. His other recordings include works by Schumann and Chopin.
