Alexei Lubimov ( 1944 ) was born in Moscow, Russia. He studied at the Moscow Conservatory with Heinrich Neuhaus and Lev Naumov. He would go on to have a successful international career as he had a tumultuous relationship with his country. He has recorded works under the Melodiya label that include Mozart, Bach and Bartok.
