Nikolai Medtner ( 1879 - 1951 ) was born in Moscow, Russia. He studied at the Moscow Conservatory under the likes of Pavel Pabst and Sergei Taneyev. He was a prolific composer and he recorded some of his compositions which include some of his Melodies and concertos.
