Federico Mompou ( 1893 - 1987 ) was bornin Barcelona, Spain. He studies included Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu and Conservatoire de Paris. He his best known for his Cancon i danses which have been performed by renowned pianists such as Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli and Rafael Orozco.
