Brooks Smith ( 1912 - 2000 ) was born in McAllen, Texas. He studied at the Juilliard School with Josef and Rosina Lhevinne. He is best known for his collaborations with the renowned violinist Jascha Heifetz. Their recordings include works by Beethoven, Franck, Faure and Saint-Saens.
