Ulla Graf-Nobis ( 1939 - 2016 ) was born in Cologne, Germany. She studied at the Cologne University of Music with renowned pianist Bruno Leonardo Gelber. She was involved with teaching when Aauchen Borderland Conservatory integrated with Cologne University of Music and even married a university professor, Herbert Nobis. Her recordings include premieres from Bortkiewicz and recordings by Lyadov, Tchaikovsky and Janáček.
