Yakov Kasman ( 1967 ) was born in Orel, Russia. He studied at the Tchaikovsky conservatory and won the silver medal at the 10th Van Cliburn competition. He recorded the works of Shostakovich, Tchaikovsky, Scriabin and Prokofiev for the Calliope Records label.
