Bernard Ringeissen ( 1934 ) was born in Paris. He studied at the Conservatoire de Paris and with Marguerite Long. Performing well at the 1955 Chopin and Long-Thibaud-Crespin competitions gave his name prominence. He would go on to record works by Saint-Saens, Alkan and Stravinsky.
