Garrick Ohlsson ( 1948 ) was born in Bronxville, New York. He studied at the Julliard School with Rosina Lhévinne. In 1970 he won the Chopin competition which gave his name international recognition. His recordings include works by Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninov and Schubert.
