Dmitri Bashkirov ( 1931 ) was born in Tbilsi, Georgia. He studied at the Moscow Conservatory, and recorded works for both the Melodiya and Claves label. He became better known as a teacher. His students include Arcadi Volodos, Nikolai Demidenko and Dang Thai Son.
